In an effort to enhance regional collaboration and inculcation of regional awareness between learners of South Asia, a South Asian University (SAU) had been founded in July 2010 together by the 8 SAARC Member Nations. The University is presently situated in Akbar Bhawan, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, however its own campus will be completed within a few years on a one hundred acre plot of land in South Delhi. By way of a SAARC Inter-Governmental arrangement, degrees provided by SAU are recognized in every SAARC nations.

Applications are welcomed for admittance to these academic programs,each of 2-years period provided by the SAU in its Third Academic Session to start from July 2012.

Deadline for application: 30 April 2012 (Extended from 20 April 2012)

The students who have minimum 15 years of education are eligible to apply for the Masters programme. This means who have finished their Class 12 plus 3 years Bachelors or 4 years Bachelors degree.

The entrance exam will be organised in all the SAARC countries on 27 May 2012.

At least 4% of the total students will be selected from Nepal.

There are several scholarships available including Full Scholarships. Full Scholarships offers Full Tuition Fee and Hostel Fee and Full Living Allowance.
