China Three Gorges University (CTGU) is a public university located in Yichang City, Hubei province in China. The university has informed that ten Nepali students will be provided with scholarships over the period of five years. These scholarships for Nepalese students will be provided in the subject areas of Engineering, Medicine, Hydropower and other subjects as well.

This announcement was made by Li Jianlin who is the President of China Three Gorges University (CTGU). This was done during a press conference at Reporters Club which was organised on Monday, 30th April 2012.

China Three Gorges University (CTGU) will soon be celebrating its ninetieth year.

President Li Jianlin also said that Nepalese Leader (CPN-UML) Madhav Kumar Nepal will be honoured with a honorary doctorate degree during this celebration.
