Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), an organisation based in TWAS (the academy of sciences for the developing world), in Trieste, Italy has announced fellowships for women who are from least developed countries (including Nepal) and Sub-Saharan African countries. These fellowships will be provided to study and research at postgraduate research level.

These fellowships scheme is funded to OWSD by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).

The postgraduate studies that will lead to a Doctorate (PhD) are eligible for this scholarships. The prospective student must be studying in one of the institutions in the developing countries (but not in their own country).

What is included in the scholarships? – tuition fees, lodging, fooding and traveling allowances are covered.

The minimum qualification that needed usually is a Masters (MSc) degree, or an excellent Bachelors degree.
