KIST Institute of Gerontology has announced for scholarships and applications for Master in Gerontology. This Masters is a joint programme at Miami University, USA and Mahidole University, Thailand. The students who are provided with scholarships will be studying their first year at Miami University, USA and their second year at Mahidole University, Thailand. The scholarships/ assistantships will be provided as 90% of the costs.
There are total of six seats available for scholarships. Minimum score 80 is required for TOEFL. Female students are encouraged.
The scholarships holder students are required to return to Nepal and work as a Lecturer at KIST Institute of Gerontology for at least 5 Years after completing the course.
Candidates with work Experience in social science research is preferred.
Minimum academic qualification: Masters Degree in either – Sociology/ Anthropology/ Economics/ Psychology/ Public Health/ Business Administration /Nursing / Statistics
Application period is from Jan 27, 2012 to Feb 11, 2012
A recent CV and 4 passport size photographs is needed with the application. Registration fee is Rs 1000.
