One of the best universities in the world, University of British Columbia in Canada has announced its International Leader of Tomorrow (ILOT) for the academic session starting in 2015 for the students looking to study Undergraduate programs at the University. University of British Columbia has proven itself as a very friendly institute for International students time and again and with the announcement of the ILOT scholarships, the University looks to add on to its tally of international students. International Leader of Tomorrow Awards are meant for non-Canadian students with top-quality educational stature, along with participation and significant accomplishment in several student activities, both academic and extra-curricular and showcasing superior leadership potential.

University of British ColumbiaThe interested students can apply for any of the Bachelor’s Degrees available at University of British Columbia. The students who are successful in winning the award will receive an amount in proportion to the necessity of the receiving student which is determined by the total tuition and accommodation cost minus the amount that the student’s family can contribute on their own. The scholarships are provided for the duration of the degree or a maximum of 3 extra years, whichever of the two is a shorter duration.

To be eligible for the ILOT awards, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant should have an outstanding educational background.
  • The applicant should be able to present evidences supporting the need of the scholarships.
  • The applicant should be an international student and should be studying under Canada study Visa.
  • The applicant should belong to a renowned institution prior to application at UBC.
  • The applicant should meet UBC’s language tests requirements.

To apply for the ILOT award, the interested student needs to be recommended by his/her present college/university. Upon nomination from the educational institution, the college/university needs to download the ILOT nomination package from UBC’s website. The deadline to submission of this nomination package is 10th December, 2014.
