Established in 1876, the University of Oregon is one of the most reputed universities in all of the United States of America. Known for its hospitable atmosphere, the University of Oregon offers about 200 different programs and courses. The University of Oregon has announced its International Cultural Service Program Scholarships for academic sessions starting somewhere in 2015. Non-US students in need of economic support for continuation of their education are supposed to be applying for this scholarship program.

University of OregonA total of about 8-12 international students will be provided with ICSP scholarships. The applicants who are successful in getting the scholarship will be provided with an amount between $9,000- $27,000 as fees-waiver.

To be eligible for the ICSP scholarships, the applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must hold a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • The applicant must be non-US citizen and should in no way be qualified to obtain any sort of U.S. federal financial help.
  • The applicant must either be admitted to the University of Oregon or should meet the criteria for admissions at UO.
  • The applicant must present evidences showing need of economic support.
  • The applicant must have proper communication expertise and should have good educational background.

Upon selection, the students will be required to perform about 80 hours a year of cultural service. This cultural service comprises of enlightening and teaching the UO students or other school and community groups about the culture of the selected students’ country.

Before applying for the ICSP scholarships, the applicants must apply for an admission at the University of Oregon. The deadline for application for the scholarships is 15th January, 2015.
