The University of Kent has introduced a brand new scholarship grant intended for serving and ex-members of Kent’s Gurkha brigades as well as their dependents. The University of Kent Gurkha Scholarship for Study is going to be granted each year for the duration of 5 years.

As Kent’s local University, we acknowledge our obligation equally towards the significant Nepalese local community that’s settled in Kent as well as the Gurkha regiments located in the county. The University is  dedicated to obtaining appropriate recognition for these soldiers as well as their family members.

About the Scholarship

This particular scholarship grant will be available to serving and ex-members of Gurkha brigades situated in Kent as well as their dependents who would like to attend undergraduate or postgraduate level of studies at the University of Kent.

This specific scholarship grant will provide tuition costs for 1 year in the beginning, renewable throughout the program of study, subject to adequate educational improvement.

The last day to apply for this scholarships is 1 May 2012.
