Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) is a Medical course which is a minimum qualification required to practice dentistry.

There are several colleges (medical institutions) that offer this course in Nepal at the moment. The course is four and half years plus one year rotating internship (total five and half years).

At present, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University and BPKIHS offers BDS course in Nepal which is recognised by Nepal Medical Council (NMC) and Ministry of Education (MoE) of Government of Nepal.
