Long term Development Awards are an essential component of the Australian Government’s development program in Nepal. They support attend Australian tertiary institutions. The objectives of the awards will be acquire the capacity and leadership expertise of awardees to enable them to contribute to development in Nepal, and make people-to-people links at individual, institutional and nation levels.
Development Awards in Nepal are offered to assist study at Masters and PhD Level.
Applicants must also satisfy important eligibility specifications for Nepal such as follows:
- be a citizen of Nepal and living in Nepal;
- should possess a minimum academic IELTS overall score of 6.5 or higher (with no individual band lower than 6.0) or maybe equivalent TOEFL paper-based/internet based test score.
- have a tertiary level qualification not less than equivalent to an Australian Bachelor’s level (i.e. 4 years bachelor degree or 3 years bachelor degree along with a master degree);
