The University of Adelaide is reckoned to be one of the best Universities in the continent of Australia. Adelaide Scholarships International (ASI) is a yearly scholarship program provided by the University of Adelaide with a viewpoint of drawing excellent international postgraduates to the various faculties of research provided by the University to bolster its research endeavors.

The University of Adelaide has announced the ASI program for a limited number of students which will cover:

  • Tuition fees of the selected applicants; 2 years for a Masters program/ 3 years for a PhD program
  • A yearly living allowance ($25,849 in 2015) for 2 years for a Masters program/ 3 years for a PhD program
  • Includes the cost of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) given the selected applicant holds a subclass 574 visa

University of Adelaide scholarshipsTo be eligible for the ASI, the applicant must meet the following criteria:

  • The applicant must have finished at least the equivalent of an Australian First Class Honors Degree, which happens to be a four year degree with a major research in the final year
  • The selection criteria is entirely based on academic qualifications and merit with no regards whatsoever to extra-curricular activities
  • Applicants who have already started the degree before applying for the award are disqualified for the award
  • The applicants, when selected, will have to start studying in the University the same semester the award is provided
  • The applicants will have to list themselves in the University as ‘International student’ and during the period of study will have to retain the same status

 

Usually the candidates  who are selected for ASI achieve the Masters degree with noteworthy research papers, research experience and several accolades.
